2017 marked a historical breakthrough for women in sport as the first AFL women’s league was introduced. iSelect, sponsor of the Melbourne Demons, wanted to do more than put a logo on a jumper so we turned the game day banner into The Breakthrough Banner – a physical manifestation of the barriers broken by women who were told they’d never play.
